100 Themes Challenge81. Pen and Paper

So one thing I know I should do is flesh out more about my characters. Considering how long I’ve had my NLDR OCs, these are the ones who I should reveal more of. For Thomas, he likes traditional writing a lot but mostly for his free time with poetry, scripts or stories (usually short stories). However, he does use technology like a phone and he owns a computer so papers and games. Though he gets asked this a lot, especially by his step-mom.

And if you notice that the words on the paper look familiar, it’s because I think these lyrics work with his character, I think Thomas would like this band, and I don’t have enough skills with poetry to write my own poems. Though… I started getting tired of writing with my mouse and just wrote a bunch of random stuff.

Anyways I’m really happy with how this turned out! Especially when compared to the sketch.

‘Eeeeeeyyyy! I completed the second set!

This one was a bit harder mostly because I made some mistakes whether I used the same backgrounds or found certain backgrounds worked better for some others. Though the trainer sprites weren’t as hard to come up with. Pokemon teams were a bit harder though I managed to come through in the end.

Still deciding on making custom sprites so these will be remade. … Again. But I think getting the gist of the teams is good enough for now. That might take me a while but I get to pay around with some other things on FireAlpaca so may as well!

(Part 1)

torihoshigirl:

I remember how much fun I had with the trainer card maker and seeing it online again makes me happy. I think it’s had some identity crises but it seems to be fine now. So I’ve been creating Pokemon teams for my NLDR OCs (and likely later my main OCs since that’ll be fine).

Most of them kinda fit into this AU I have in mind which is why each of them have a starter and at least one Pokemon that can mega evolve. And honestly, filling that space in is fine with me considering some of them it’s hard to think of Pokemon if I try to go with a theme. Some not so much (mostly psychic, mostly grass-types) for example and then some are much harder since the second part won’t be made until I can finish the last four.

Finding appropriate trainer sprites was a tad bit annoying since some of them just didn’t work. It was quite hard. I think sometime later, I’ll edit them to look more like my NLDR OCs. It’d be a good way to pass the time and I like editing Pokemon trainer sprites. In fact, with Candace’s I don’t even think the sprite works I just went with a pun. But hope you like them!
