I’ve been working on a Cookie Run OC for a while and I finally got to colouring them in and really defining their design. I like them a lot! Although I am aware that this idea isn’t exactly original. Still, I think I managed to add enough of my own ideas to them. I’m very happy with their design and the colours after all! Especially with their pet. It ended up looking a lot better than I expected! I love them :>

I don’t have much of an idea for their ability or a pet combo bonus? I know for Rainbow Spool, their ability is that every [x] seconds, they’ll throw the needle to gather a bunch of jellies in the path for Red Velvet. As for Red Velvet themselves, the most I can think of at the moment is Red Velvet collecting fabrics and once they collect a needle, they create some stunning designs.

For my next redesign reference, we have the Ultimate Confectioner, Candace Willow!

Colouring in a reference for her was something that I wanted to do for a while but never really got to properly colouring it in.  I’ve certainly drawn her design (in doodles and this year’s Inktober) but never really sat down and coloured it in because I kept getting side-tracked.  Although I’m happy to finally get her design drawn and coloured in.  Some may also remember that I used to call her the “Ultimate Candy Maker” but after looking up more terms and seeing Ruruka, I came to the realization that “Confectioner” is the correct term and kinda rolls off the tongue better. So it’s been repurposed to that. I don’t really care if canon has already used that talent especially since this was a change in hindsight so I couldn’t have really known.

In the end, her case is like Silvia’s. She has a talent that ended up being canon later (all my DR OCs I’ve been tagging as “NLDR OCs” were made in 2014 if you’re curious about an idea of how long I’ve been working on them)

I was trying out with another sort of character reference kind of thing so here’s one I did this month. This is Marilyn’s twin brother, Morrigan. He’s much more talented at magic than her but he’s kind of on the run due to the results of a mistake he made involving black magic. Something that he shouldn’t have done but he did it anyways.

I may end up changing the template again although I don’t mind this. It might benefit though in case I have a gray that matches waaay too much with the background. And even then, I’m glad I have a more concrete design with this guy. I’ve thought of smaller ones (like that one image I posted back last year) but this one is definitely better.

This reference took me a while to finish because I would start and then want to work on something else. Not only that, but I had a long time of putting off colouring in the shoes for some reason. I knew what I wanted yet I couldn’t exactly put it and the time when I worked the most on it… I worked on fixing up the colour scheme with the design to add more green and still didn’t work on the shoes until I finally sat down and worked on them two days later (thanks to Keith/ @thelegochicken / @chartreuseeffigy for the colour help).

I’m pretty glad about the changes I’ve done to his design. From the scarf to adding the glasses to cleaning up his hair a bit, even adding more green to his overall colour palette and lifting up some of the darker colours in his design, it’s good. I like it a lot more. And what a change from his old design…

But it’s done now so I can’t complain. So here’s a character ref for another one of my NLDR OCs. As per usual, there’s information under the cut.

I originally wanted to make some OCs to use in Danganronpa Roleplays and I couldn’t really find any on tumblr that would fit what I wanted to do. Since then, I was redirected to some of my friend’s friends on Discord who were hosting some. I drew out and coloured in references for the OCs that I’m using.

By the way, because I was left with a list of potential talents and no roleplays to join, I ended up making another Fangan class. So now I have two that I’m very invested in but this recent one much more so.

Also I haven’t updated this yet but I’m making the executive decision to change Mao’s talent to Ultimate Soccer Pro since that seems to be what they use.

And in case anyone is wondering what a Foley artist is.

EDIT (09/13/18): Changed the colours of Souma’s bracelets, added one and added a colour palette.

Introducing, the members of Chryssical!

Remember my Love Live group? Yeah, well, as you may have noticed, I never properly got to making individual posts for the first and third years namely because my one for the first years didn’t come out the way I wanted it to and the I never got to the one for the third years. But one of Amino I’ve joined (called Idolspace, basically for all your idol game needs from Love Live, Bang Dream, Utapri, Idolmaster and so on) have this “Create an Idol” Challenge where you choose to create an idol from one of those series (actually they mention all of them except Utapri but I’m sure that would count).

Now, I already had a group so I decided to enter them since I haven’t fully decided on designs for two of the three third years and I haven’t thought up of proper colour schemes for them either.  So this was a good experience to have a chance to really flesh them out more and I’m happy with this! So under the cut, there’s some information on all of them.

Well except for drawing these icons. I don’t have a tablet so I used a mouse. For all of them. …I intend on making a post on my main detailing about them that’ll basically be what I wrote on the Amino post. Look out for that! I’ll post it here too since it’ll have the serparate icons.

Also, here’s whose who in the rows since I never properly revealed most of them. On each row, it’s from left to right.

I have a more proper reference this time with one of my characters. See? This one even includes a title! Nifty.  I have to admit, I didn’t change all that much with his first design. I think this sort of outfit fits him overall. Might add something a little more though if for no other reason than to experiment with how much I think ends up making it too busy.

I think simple is fine every now and again too. I dunno.  Although there are two things I did like the idea of. The first was adding a hair clip (no particular reason. I just like it) and the other is the change in eye colour.  I took the old eye colour and made it the outline instead and quite frankly, it was for the better.

I was going to mention that it’s been a while since I did a full-body reference and then I remember my FEH mock up I did a while back. Even though I still need practice on full-body pictures, I still think this is better than that one. Could still use work on anatomy (I doubt I got the knees right) though that’s what practice is for. Anyways, continuing onto my redesigning of my DR OCs, though this time with an actual coloured full-body reference. I’ve already got some redesigns decided on, whether they be small or big wardrobe changes like with Isabelle here.

For some quick info and design notes, Isabelle Amora is the Ultimate Matchmaker! Her design may seem a little odd ‘cause I put more of a reference of cats here. My general idea is “approachable” and having a soft and cute looking design helps with that. I also decided, while a heart motif is very matchmaker and can be quite cute, I also thought it’d be an interesting little twist to use cats. And it’s not like I’m going to completely abandon the heart idea. I mean, I still like her having a heart necklace and who knows? I may try to add a little bit of both.

This has been the month I spent time doodling DR OC redesigns even though I haven’t posted all of them on tumblr. They are on my Instagram though so. I guess in a way, I’m still deciding on the proper colour schemes to see what I incorporate from the old designs.

Anyways, here is my boy, Webber. I want to just draw him and decided to add flowers and in particular, I decided to make it daisies. They’re simple to draw and if there were a flower I’d use, they’d be daisies to represent him.
