I’m almost finished that family members post I have had in my drafts for months now. I think in order to keep my creative juices, flowing, there might be a good amount of them I will actually try to draw. And for some, draw and colour in (Frankie’s parents and Thomas’ siblings)

For now, I have this little lady whose Samson’s younger sister, Eleni. I wasn’t sure if I’d give Samson a younger sibling but I decided that I would for a few reasons. According to statistics, quite a few families have more than one child. I don’t really do that with my NLDR OCs. Nine out of sixteen of them are only childs (at this point). Thinking of sibling relationships is always interesting and fun anyways so I don’t mind. She has very messy hair and, yeah this would basically be what hair colour Samson’s hair is. A dark brown before he shaved it. … Since he wanted his hair to grow back after dyeing it. In addition, my idea with her jacket and shirt was to make it a contrast to Samson’s.

Maybe not an inverse, but you know how some colours are the opposite to each other on the colour wheel? I wish I knew what the term was right now. Anyways, since Samson’s jacket is green, I made Eleni’s orange as they’re opposites on the colour wheel. As for her shirt, it still applies. Samson’s shirt is mostly black with some blue on it (being the symbol. There’s a case with this for Eleni where Eleni’s shirt is mostly red (the opposite from blue) and has some white on it (the opposite of black). The hair clip was just a cute idea I had.

… Now that I look at her enough, she looks kinda like Frankie. Huh.

I was just doodling things and as I doodled an alternate hair style for Peter (less bedhead and hair tied back because I realized he also technically has pretty long hair) and then I decided that I could use this design for Peter when he’s older. I’ve mostly gone off the interpretation that he’s 28.

I actually did draw something before with a similar concept, Peter as an adult but at 30. Ignore that one, this is canon now I guess. Especially since the first one is older and my drawing has improved.

Also if the colour scheme of the clothes bar the scarf look familiar… It was unintentional but when I realized it, I rolled with it anyways.

Now, since I have now disassociated certain OCs from a fandom, I am now calling them my NLDR OCs which a friend of mine helped me think of. With this, I can use a lot more ideas that felt I was restricted keeping me in the main universe. Though many of the ideas I have from that are staying because I still like them. … Basically all of them but they won’t be associated in that universe.

One of these ideas is with Samson since I thought it would be cool if he had coloured contacts. I imagine he has glasses starting from middle school but ended up getting hazel coloured contacts later because people have constantly told him that his natural eye colour looks “unnatural” due to how intense they look. He decided on them since some people felt intimidated by him with how tall he is. He doesn’t need something else to turn people away from him. He liked the hazel colour better since it looked softer. Though he can’t always wear his contacts and sometimes it’s more convenient to wear his glasses (in his point of view) so he takes them off when he’s at home usually.

The shade is called “electric blue” which fits him since he’s a DJ and uses electronics a lot to produce music.

In an ask, I stated that I would show who Arisu Kobayashi is. She’s a character whom I’ve had prepared for a while now. Mostly because she’s been related with a certain project that… well I’m not abandoning but I won’t be associating the characters with it in that fandom much anymore. I even have a new category for them at long last and I will be updating things accordingly.

But yeah this is her! I never really had a casual look for her but this is what I’ve decided to use! I like this look a lot it’s pretty cute even though I made up that dress pattern.

For a quick description what she’s like, she’s a Japanese girl whose quite optimistic. She’s also a fan of magical girl manga. She likes to joke that she wishes to become a magical girl though it’s not like she’s lying either.

I was originally going to use this as my next 100 Themes Challenge picture but decided against it. I’m going to try and draw something else since the background was really frustrating me and I really hate it. But I do like the attempts at progress I made for this so… I guess I’m posting something unfinished. That’s a first.

It was a warm day last Sunday and I wanted to draw some of my OCs and this is apparently the idea that came into my head. For some reason, I can’t remember why, I imagined Francis owning a “Your waifu is shit” shirt. And I just thought of a dumb scenario when they drag Thomas out to sit near some comic store to see if anyone who comes out notices.

… Though they don’t know how long they’ll be there so they bought frozen yogurt

Akumasona/Miracusona Week Day 1: Your Akumasona (with added civilian self because I couldn’t help myself)

So! I heard there was an akumasona/miracusona week going on! I didn’t realize it started on Thursday due to exams. On the other hadn though I wouldn’t have had time to colour it in. However, I can’t participate much as I don’t have much of an idea for a miracusona. With an akumasona though, it’s pretty easy. Especially since I decided to re-use a previous idea I had to scrap when my ideas changed in my Miraculous AU. So I created a self-insert (I guess?) OC for Miraculous Ladybug. Her name is Tara Yung and her akuamtized form is named Scripted Fate! I mean, I do enjoy writing especially being able to make my own characters to decide what happens to them. It’s fun.

Akumatized – Scripted Fate

Design – There are a few things I wanted to use. For one thing, her clothes look kinda old fashioned and the colours were meant to go with that. But at the same time, since she’s a writer I tried to make her look more ghostly. Therefore, you could say she’s a ghost writer. This is where the old timey-time fashion comes in as well. Resembling a ghost in a way, it could represent how she could come from an older time. Her hair is meant to be in a similar colour to feathers but… yeah I didn’t do a great job on that.

Ability – Do you know those stories when characters are written into a story and have to do whatever the narrator says? That’s Scripted Fate’s ability. She creates ghost-like pencils and has them “attach” themselves to people (they’d hit someone but they won’t notice since they have ghost-like properties). Whomever they touch are now characters for her story. Whatever she writes in her book, they have to act out without any question. They have no choice. She can, in a way, control them but a la People Puppets. It is possible to fight off but it’s not easy. Though she does have a down-side of wanting the story she writes to have the perfect set-up. She COULD write for Ladybug and Chat Noir to give their Miraculous… But that’s no fun. And just wayyy too easy. …She’d also have to first make them characters but that’s beside the point.

How she’s akumatized – Being a university student, she’s in a particularly stressful time  in school. (exams? very important final paper? who knows!). She tries to take some time off in between studying since she feels stressed and goes somewhere to write a story idea she has. However, she’s being consistently annoyed and reminded by someone (most likely parents). There’s a good chance one of them says something particularly insensitive (though they don’t mean they’re stressed about how she’s doing too) about her writing (”You’re wasting your time with it! It’s pointless!” somewhere along those lines). She loses her patience with them and yells over the phone but still begrudgingly heads back. Hawk Moth senses her anger and sends an akuma for her which infects the notebook she’s currently using for her writing.

Bonus: I could wait for the day when it’s time for a civilian ID but… she’s basically kind of me? So even if I did, I don’t know much about what I can say. So I guess I’ll leave it here for now.

100 Themes Challenge – 1. Introduction

Hey kids! Can you see where I gave up? Ha ha one of these days I’m gonna learn to make a habit of drawing backgrounds with the pictures before scanning them and not trying to bullshit something I’m trying to remember.

So anyways, you’re probably wondering what the 100 Themes Challenge is. One thing I remember from deviantART is seeing someone I followed complete this challenge which made me want to do it. Back in about 2012. And I only did one. Which was the first one. Thinking back to it, I decided to go back to the specific one I wanted to do and now that I’m older and wanting to draw more, I’m gonna actually try to complete this.

I have no limits and I am not doing this in order because last time I tried to do that, I couldn’t committ. The only exception is the first one because it’s fitting. Every other theme? I’ll just finish them when I can think of something. Which means I have more things to think about! And possibly draw! I don’t know if I’ll do only OCs but considering it’s all I draw, it’s possible. There’s 100 though it may not be.

Anyways I drew this as a bit of re-do of the first one I did. Tiff meeting Taylor when they were kids and their first basic conversation. I tried to draw on e of those little booth like things at parks kids would go under and pretend to be a store. Do you know what I mean? … Maybe.

I drew this a while ago and wanted to added colour to it. Since I have little drive to draw anything new, I should post this now before I forget. One thing I have decided with the Miraculous AU with my characters is that there would be some changes in backstory compared to the main verse I use. One of the bigger things I decided is with Maxim. It involves basically changing certain events so he’s… happier.

As a result, I had to change up his design in a way. Mostly with the fact that his hair wouldn’t be dyed blonde. So yes, it’s confirmed, his original hair colour is black. I don’t have a preference since I think they both look good on him even though the style is different with both hairstyles. I’m actually changing the default designs for all of them for this AU because I need some of them to look more casual since some of them don’t look that casual (Hi Carsten).

He still has an interest in puppetry, that doesn’t change. One thing I’d like to add (since I can never seem to find a good time to bring it up) is that in this verse (and my main verse), he likes writing stories to perform for puppet shows. He mostly performs them at a local library for kids.

I decided to draw this MU character I created who I intend on using in the game. Which route? I have no idea. I had ideas but I’m not sure about using those anymore. I’m thinking as a Revelations character (originally I was thinking Conquest but I decided Revelations would be better). She’d probably marry Azama. She can handle him. Her Boon will be in Strength and Bane will be… I dunno what’s better for a Wyvern based class?

Anyways, Amber is a girl raised in Nohr with the Nohr royal family having been taken from Hoshido when she was younger. She has some qualms against Hoshido based on what she’s heard about them as she was raised. At the same time, she isn’t the most comfortable with living in Nohr. It’s not the sunniest place and she loves warmth. She loves her family though, especially her older sister Camilla. It came to the point she asked for some lessons in taking care of a wyvern.
