Remember these guys? It’s been a while since I’ve drawn them and it was pretty fun. Except from trying to get the heights half accurate. Mostly accurate. I keep finding when I do traditional art after a long bought of digital art, I try to use the tools I have on something like FireAlpaca. That… would’ve really helped with some of these honestly…
So if you want some background with this one, I was imagining some sort of display where someone put a pumpkin pie slice with a jack o’ lantern. And that was basically the thought process behind this.
Although since this is the last day of Inktober, I had to say that I really enjoyed drawing these! It was fun working with an actual ink pen this time. And I also really enjoyed working on some of these. They were overall all better than the ones I had drawn last year honestly. Improvements! And following a prompt list was a nice little challenge! I enjoyed working on this and I’m sad that it’s over. But maybe I’ll try to do some more ink drawings just casually outside of October. Who knows!

And if you want to know the costumes, Tiff is Patton Sanders/Morality, Brandon was going to be Junkenstein and then I changed my mind and just made him a mad scientist, Taylor’s a cat, Pablo’s McCree and Benten is Logan Sanders/Logic.

I stated this on deviantART but I hadn’t said it here. I was drained from motivation thanks to exams that I didn’t have the motivation to finish colouring in a picture for Christmas which I’m disappointed by.

So I don’t know much about era clothing unless you give a name like Victorian. … Actually that’s the only era clothing I can name. But the first suggestion I got was poodle dresses so I decided why not? The suits looked boring anyways.
Honestly though, Brandon looks damn good with those clothes.
I love this video for many reasons but especially Peridot.
But anyways, I have been wanting to draw my Main OCs some more and since I don’t have internet unless I go somewhere else, I should try to draw more. I’ve managed to do so quite a bit last night. My neck hurts now and I’ll post the harvest of my creativity storm from last night later.
For now, have this. Brandon is working on being a mechanic and so while he’s also inventing things that can just help out, he also invents random things he just felt like doing. Regardless if they even do anything.
I mostly drew this for practice and originally I was going to leave it as a doodle but I decided to fully colour it in and draw it with my mouse instead. I’ve been thinking a lot about relationships between my characters especially with my main OCs and how I’ve changed things with them. And for this, I mostly drew this when thinking about that one line from the Stakes series in Adventure Time.
… I’ll be perfectly honest I could imagine Brandon saying this. I have also been thinking a lot about his relationship with Pablo, mostly with the past. When I imagine the relationship between Tiff, Taylor, Benten, Pablo, Brandon and Drake, it’s all platonic between them. Though I have thought about other things past platonic relationships between them. Though I will say, none of them will get together. Especially not with Drake.
So when I saw this emoji meme, I decided that to draw some of my main OCs with some of the expressions. As a result, I didn’t draw all of them since I couldn’t really make up my mind for which ones to use for some of them. However, I already did something like that with my DR OCs so may as well do that with these guys.
I need to draw them more after all. Also, you might notice I made some small design changes for some of them. Or at least two. Viv now has visible eye bags underneath their eyes (because if they’re gonna be a character based on my persona they need eye bags and at least one of them should have them) and I tried to make Terry’s freckles more visible.
The joke is that because they’re from a different realm they don’t know English.
(Ignore my lack of straight lines/logical linear perspective. I was mainly just doing this to get more comfortable with the brushes; I have a feeling I’m just going to be sticking to one solid brush, but the wet brush was at least pretty handy for the sky gradient. Also a little bit of webcomic practice never hurt.)
