Last night I drew a bunch of genderbends of some of my NLDR OCs because I was just randomly doodling in my sketchbook. I do this a lot. I ended up having a good creativity storm from it though. Like some of the bends I drew and how I’ve just been improving drawing them in general.
In return, my neck hurts. I don’t look forward to going to bed tonight.

I remember how much fun I had with the trainer card maker and seeing it online again makes me happy. I think it’s had some identity crises but it seems to be fine now. So I’ve been creating Pokemon teams for my NLDR OCs (and likely later my main OCs since that’ll be fine).
Most of them kinda fit into this AU I have in mind which is why each of them have a starter and at least one Pokemon that can mega evolve. And honestly, filling that space in is fine with me considering some of them it’s hard to think of Pokemon if I try to go with a theme. Some not so much (mostly psychic, mostly grass-types) for example and then some are much harder since the second part won’t be made until I can finish the last four.
Finding appropriate trainer sprites was a tad bit annoying since some of them just didn’t work. It was quite hard. I think sometime later, I’ll edit them to look more like my NLDR OCs. It’d be a good way to pass the time and I like editing Pokemon trainer sprites. In fact, with Candace’s I don’t even think the sprite works I just went with a pun. But hope you like them!
I decided to draw some of my characters who have long hair with short hair. If you’re wondering about the words near some of them, it’s from me trying to vary the noses I draw.
So I managed to finish this! At long last! Even though some of them still look a little bit awkward for me, I am surprised by how good they all look overall! It was fun making these even though some of them were pretty annoying to work on (especially the mounted units. I’m looking at you Wyvern Riders).
In case you didn’t see the preview I posted a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to do pixel/sprite edits of Awakening classes with my DR OCs with whatever Awakening classes I thought they would be. I wanted to make a full sheet since posting them individually would be too small but I will include single transparent versions underneath the cut.
This was fun to do and a part of me is tempted to try and make a full sprite sheet for someone even though I don’t know how to make gifs. I don’t know who (probably Lavinia because hers was the easiest). We’ll see though I have exams coming up soon so I’m glad to get this done now.
Here are some doodles I’ve done in the past few days. I don’t know what else to say other than that except…
I like to draw rain, Silvia with her hair down, clotheswaps and Frank and Natalie are two of my favourite TD OCs.
New sprite for Vera with some adjustments to her colour palette too! Haven’t done that in a while.
As I said with the doodle, I wanted to change up her design to make her hair took a bit messier, change up her bangs so they’d look more like how I drew them here (since they look better), changed her glasses up and tried to make the jacket look baggie so it resembles a hand me down a bit more. It’s uhh… It’s alright.
As for colours, I wanted to make her eyes look more icier with a blue and I definitely like this a lot better. Along with that, I also made her hair seem more orange since I have thought that would be the case with her original hair colour but it was a different type of blonde. I decided to go with a more orange colour. … I tried to find a better one but I wasn’t sure and I was trying to avoid it looking like Candace’s.
