After changing up Vera’s bangs a bit when drawing her as Rey, I decided to keep that since it looks good. So I did a few other tweaks to her design. This is one attempt.
For one, I tried to make her jacket look baggier so it resembles a hand me down and make her hair messier. I’m also changing her height to make her a bit shorter (170 is what I decided I think).
Well I’ve already drawn two of my OCs drawn as the villains from this movie. I need a Rey.
Voila, Vera dressed as Rey. Because she’s resourceful like her and while she didn’t have to learn how to survive on her own, she definitely had to learn how to being from a low income family.
It also gives me a chance to draw her without glasses (she can see fine without them but having glasses is more convenient). And honestly, I don’t think Rey’s buns would look that good on Vera so I’m settling for a ponytail.
Oc Question Of The Day
Who is the messiest person, and who is the complete neat freak?
I’ve been thinking about what to draw for Christmas and I like thinking about the case with Vera since she comes from a poor upbringing. So I don’t think she has had much of a chance to celebrate Christmas until meeting the others when they celebrate with a small Christmas party. She’d stay around Carsten since they get along. Also, Carsten also likes Christmas as it’s one of the times he feels like he can properly relax. He especially likes looking at the sights.
I also imagine that Candace likes getting candy canes so she can give them out to people after tying small ribbons on them.
OC Fact 13
(Oh hey look the fact for Vera’s birthday is number 13, just like the day of her birthday.)
Vera’s favourite food is bread because it’s one of the most common foods that she’s able to get her hands on. She enjoys trying different types of bread when she gets the chance to.
OC October Day 27 – Vera Floyd
Sure am glad that this getting my teeth ripped out doesn’t give me enough pain to keep me from drawing for this. When I looked at the new design I gave Vera (close wise) I couldn’t help but think about the uniforms in Attack on Titan.
So what better way than to draw Vera as one of the characters? I decided on Mikasa because from the things I know about Mikasa, I can see the similarities. Though Vera is a lot more quiet than Mikasa. So that’s a thing. Also Vera looks nice with a scarf.
I said I’d draw all my DR OCs with at least one of these expressions and here’s the final set I guess!
I don’t like how some of these came out because they ended up looking at lot worse when I coloured them in. Though I’m not too bitter as it just shows me what I need to work on. I should draw more coloured things.
OC Fact 8
Vera is very good at keeping quiet. As a result, people have a tendency of forgetting she’s around, especially if they already know her. In a way, she’s like Kellam or Canada from Hetalia in that she lacks a presence.
However, Vera doesn’t mind. She thinks it’s fun and likes to stay quiet just to see how long it’d take for people to realize she’s there.
Revised version of something I drew yesterday and me thinking about this Vine.
Vera is my only character whose birthday in November (so far).
If you want to know why I had to repost and revise it, here’s a simple answer. I f-ed up.
Although I think this is how I’ll be drawing generic people now.
