So here are the two Inktobers I’ve done yesterday and today respectively! I decided to draw my DR OCs for “Double” (and a look at one of the redesigns I’m thinking of with Setsuko) and some Mystery Skulls for “Jolt”! Hey, Hellbent was released this month and it was good timing. I just had to draw something for it.
Although I wanted to be a reference post-events shown in Ghost, this is going to have to be before because… well… I forgot to make Arthur’s left arm mechanical.
This one was harder to think of since all I knew for the theme is that I wanted to use fire. How though was the bigger question for me. And trying to draw this when you’ve been busy and lacking energy was an even worse idea. Although I’m still somewhat glad. Little bit of a downgrade from my other two drawings but eh. They can’t all be winners as long as I get practice and have some fun with it.
Imagine this as like… Webber’s nightmare or something. Fire near his home? Not fun.
This has been the month I spent time doodling DR OC redesigns even though I haven’t posted all of them on tumblr. They are on my Instagram though so. I guess in a way, I’m still deciding on the proper colour schemes to see what I incorporate from the old designs.
Anyways, here is my boy, Webber. I want to just draw him and decided to add flowers and in particular, I decided to make it daisies. They’re simple to draw and if there were a flower I’d use, they’d be daisies to represent him.
I was thinking of doing a themed thing with Inktober but for now, I’ll use that when I’m a bit fresh out on ideas. For now, I’ll just do whatever I feel like for Inktober. Because October is a good month, I quite like this month! Second favourite month behind December.
Although people likely noticed I haven’t been doing weekly doodles at all this month (and if I have, there weren’t a lot). Sorry about that but with school and still remnants from August, I haven’t had a lot of ambition to draw. It’s annoying honestly so it’s good to somewhat be out of the flunk. Even if the best I have for inking is a permanent marker, a black marker and a blue pen, I think it’ll still be fun. And drawing with a pen is oddly satisfying.

Here’s some more variety in the doodles I do! I don’t know if I ever had something so varied in a while so I’m pretty happy about that.
Anyways, the first one was something I had to draw with Jon and Lucah when I saw this picture. Also, I bought Don’t Starve this week and played some Don’t Starve Together with @wxy-arts. I also did some doodling of Lavinia and Webber, mostly seeing if Webber needed a lil’ cowlick and Lavinia with a type of neutral pose I was thinking of. I also wanted to draw Min Min from ARMS ‘cause she’s my gorl.
I also did a quick doodle of Addison ‘cause I was thinking of her. And then I also doodled some things I was thinking off with Marilyn, mainly her in a modern setting (magic may or may not be included). Essentially, maybe magic exists in the world and Marilyn has heard her family line can use it and so in her free time, she tries to see if she can use it. Right now though, she’s just some university students trying to get through her major (I don’t know… Economics?). She also has a pet hamster named Gavin.
Like last week, I spent a lot of my time studying for a test I had on Friday. As a result, I didn’t draw a lot. Although today, I doodled a couple of things, I’m not counting them in order to ACTUALLY make the days I list there to be an actual week instead of just six days. You know, like actually have it be seven days instead of just six? I’ll still post them on Sunday evenings, but they’ll go from the previous Sunday to the Saturday.
Anyways, I found the benefit of the latest HC season being over is that when the initial hype dies down, I get back into OC things as I wait for the new season. I’ll still draw things of course, but they may be less frequent. …Might. Anyways, this is the only one I felt like showing (since I already posted one on Tuesday) since I’ve had this idea in my head for a while.
The rest are OC things, with the ones involving my Total Drama OCs, ones I was thinking about posting on International Women’s Day but I only had time the next day. And in the end, they weren’t the best. But I like drawing my female TD OCs when I get the chance. The last one is of a new character I’ve been working on for an original mystery story I’d like to write, separate from stuff related to Detective Akiyama. This lady’s the detective to that story. Her name’s Scarlet Baxter as you can see. She was originally going to be Chinese but I decided to change that ‘cause I liked this design idea in mind a lot better.
You can see in the corner for the last one, the other character I’m in the works of designing. Although he’s still a work in progress (his name’s Jackson Namgung and he’s a detective who usually works with Scarlet as her partner in detective-ing if you’re curious.) Yeah, with these two and Detective Akiyama along with my attempts to write DR fanfic, I seem to like the mystery like things. Though while I’m not concerned about originality (at least not too much), I am concerned with predictability for mystery things.
Gosh! I’ve had these for a while! Sorry it took me a while. Midterms and written assignments just nailed me in the face last weekend and I almost had this done. Could’ve done it earlier but I really had to focus on papers.
I chose a squirrel kigurumi for Webber ‘cause when I imagine animals for him, I always imagine a squirrel for some reason… That or a chipmunk.
Last night I drew a bunch of genderbends of some of my NLDR OCs because I was just randomly doodling in my sketchbook. I do this a lot. I ended up having a good creativity storm from it though. Like some of the bends I drew and how I’ve just been improving drawing them in general.
In return, my neck hurts. I don’t look forward to going to bed tonight.
