100 Themes Challenge 36. Precious Treasure

Whoo boy do I have a lot to say about this. And I don’t think I want to put it all in one description since it is quite long. These things include some things based around characters (especially if you’ve seen how I’ve drawn Webber’s necklace before) and overall thoughts about this picture including process.

TLDR; For a first attempt at this type of picture it’s decent. I don’t hate this and I’m overall happy with how this came out. Thus far, it’s probably the best 100 Themes Challenge related picture I’ve drawn. I chose Webber for the picture because his charm necklace is a precious treasure for him since it’s something his dad gave him (whose passed since then).

And thanks to this, I know what my next project will be. Regardless of how many more changes I make or how much time it takes, I will be sure to finish them.

So if you want to read a longer description, it’s under the Read More. But first, other mandatory things.

For some reason, drawing him with this expression has made me think my headcanon of him having Pit’s voice is more accurate. No idea why but this was fun and I like this palette!

I should draw Webber more. He’s one of the first OCs I made at least in terms of my NLDR OCs and I’ve been a bit neglectful of him. Though in the past week or two weeks I’ve been neglectful of all of them.

(For this ask. Feel free to send me more)

Some doodles of what I used a page on and intend on using another page on. Drawing Animal Crossing villagers is fun. They’re adorable.

The first two will be apart of a bigger thing I’m drawing. Mostly to show what I imagine what AC Villager species they would be.

The last? I like drawing Carsten as a bear villager. However, I don’t think the suit would work but the one I’ve scanned already has the suit. Only because it would match with the others. So here’s the alt outfit I guess. Also this was a cute thing.

I remember how much fun I had with the trainer card maker and seeing it online again makes me happy. I think it’s had some identity crises but it seems to be fine now. So I’ve been creating Pokemon teams for my NLDR OCs (and likely later my main OCs since that’ll be fine).

Most of them kinda fit into this AU I have in mind which is why each of them have a starter and at least one Pokemon that can mega evolve. And honestly, filling that space in is fine with me considering some of them it’s hard to think of Pokemon if I try to go with a theme. Some not so much (mostly psychic, mostly grass-types) for example and then some are much harder since the second part won’t be made until I can finish the last four.

Finding appropriate trainer sprites was a tad bit annoying since some of them just didn’t work. It was quite hard. I think sometime later, I’ll edit them to look more like my NLDR OCs. It’d be a good way to pass the time and I like editing Pokemon trainer sprites. In fact, with Candace’s I don’t even think the sprite works I just went with a pun. But hope you like them!

So I managed to finish this! At long last! Even though some of them still look a little bit awkward for me, I am surprised by how good they all look overall! It was fun making these even though some of them were pretty annoying to work on (especially the mounted units. I’m looking at you Wyvern Riders).

In case you didn’t see the preview I posted a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to do pixel/sprite edits of Awakening classes with my DR OCs with whatever Awakening classes I thought they would be. I wanted to make a full sheet since posting them individually would be too small but I will include single transparent versions underneath the cut.

This was fun to do and a part of me is tempted to try and make a full sprite sheet for someone even though I don’t know how to make gifs. I don’t know who (probably Lavinia because hers was the easiest). We’ll see though I have exams coming up soon so I’m glad to get this done now.

I decided since my art spriting has improved, I should work on changing up Webber’s a bit as well since it’s still pretty old. I’m satisfied with it but if I basically polished up the sprites I’ve done for the others, maybe it’s a good idea to make some changes to his.

My first idea was to change his hair up to look more shaggy and less like how I drew Sky’s hair. Also that’ll probably be the closest thing I have to giving him an ahoge in this. It’s interesting though. I’m pretty sure I made him look younger…

Well I tried.

So I’ve made my own Valentine’s Day cards so I’m posting the empty bases here. I have some of my OCs and some of other characters. Being Waluigi and two Undertale children.

I also have one drawn with my face but I didn’t finish that one. You can find the sketch on my Instagram though is anyone is curious. … The first link leads to the profile here’s the doodle.

Anyways happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Extra one that I recently finished. So bonus Sans.

So I’ve been wanting to draw Webber and Isabella to look older. When I’m not imagining my characters in the story scenario, they’re 18. Though I do see them looking at least a little bit older at 18.

So along with having an excuse to draw alternate outfits, here we are. Isabella’s is a mix of her current and old design (the shirt for example) while Webber’s is mostly the same but more plaid. I think I’m getting better at drawing that.

OC Fact 14

torihoshigirl:

I’ve been exposed to this a lot so boy do I have an interesting one.

Webber has vague memories of watching Nanalan when he was younger when it’d pop up on TV (being Canadian he would’ve been exposed to this show at some point in his youth).

He probably wouldn’t have remembered its existence if Francis hadn’t found that one video where the main character names off vegetables. Mostly because Francis decided to drag people into watching all the episodes they could find.
